got a nice female hognose, some N. Milii's, and some more crested geckos, most of my leo's unfortunately passed away due to going off feed  and complications from long power outtages last year, most just never bounced back, so will be getting out of leos, keeping the ones i've got now and possibly breeding next year but nothing this year going to let them get back up to par..

But hognose snakes are doing good, Corns are doing good, Cresties are doing great, got first fertile egg out of my red superdal female first few were infertile.. really can't think of anythign else other than more roaches , good loupe to sex some of these guys with, a fridge incubator to cool the crestie eggs as i'm having problems finding an area with cool stable temps in this heat. i guess that's it anythign else  i'd have to think more of.]]>Tue, 06 Jul 2010 21:45:50 -0800http://www.shadraakreptiles.com/1/post/2010/07/new-additions.htmlWell finally got some hognose, got a 1.0 from shoresenuffsnakes.com a 100% het albino, was 65g when empty when i got him last sat, has had 4 hoppers since then 2, sunday and 2 this sunday, will weigh him this next saturday to see how much he's gained.

Also got a 0.1 baby 100% het albino which unfortunately didn't make it, i have called the guy 5x and sent 5 emails after no return calls or answerign and no return emails i was forced to post to the BOI :(.. so unfortunately i now have no female and will need another one. So if anyone has a 100% het albino female w. hognose please get in contact with me, i'm very desperate..

Also picked up 2 more Cresties as well as a blood red corn from the raffle, my female still will not top 30g for some reason waiting on her to get 35 so i can breed her.

Anywho i'll throw up some pics of what i picked up at the show

Regurged a meal a few weeks ago, after abotu 5 days from feeding, was only partially digested, then regurged the next meal ( fed 1 week later, didn't know should wait a full 2 weeks) and it was less digested after 5 days and regurged as well..


Waited 2 weeks for final feeding which would have been this sat, but was tired, went to feed sunday night and he was writhing coiling up on himself and flipped over and died :(.. currently have him frozen to see if a necropsy can be done, but i'm hoping it was all just complications due to the regurges, maybe some form of dehydration, even though he had water all the time, never saw him drinking out of it, which isn't uncommon... 


You will be missed little Amel, i'm sorry we couldn't have time to break you of your nasty attitude, and get you growing up a bit more.

I know most of my blogs and comments are just rambling, however it's ust a way for me to speak without havign to do a video:D... Sorry for the lack of updates, have been really sick a lot lately and really busy.
 
Here in oklahoma we had a major ice storm that knocked out power in my town for 5 days and it was iffy for another week and a half after that...didn't loose any geckos thank god, i found someone a few days into the outtage that had a little trailer i could move them all to with a propane heater, so they were kept at room temp about 60's-70's so they were in a cooling cycle and dipped into their fat reserves so lost a lot of weight but they're bouncing back nicely now..

I have decided to re-vamp my viewing of what animals i will be raising, i will not be raising leopard geckos unless there's a large call for them, this power outtage really scared me and i dont know if i'll get that lucky to do so again, so i'm going to move my main focus over to colubrids and rhacs. focusing on Crested geckos and W. Hognose snakes.

Currently i have 3 crested geckos and 3 cornsnakes, I have all of my raptor babies from last year still available for sale, i updated the gallery and available pages, will update more when putting on weight and when more are avaialble.

I am willing to take trades for female crested geckos, or pairs, as well as w. hognose snakes, I am trying to get an albino line established, therefore would need albinos or het albinos, but willing to go other lines as well, such as anaconda, extreme reds, tricolors etc. Snakes were my passion a long time ago and leo's were just a filler for that, now that i have the ability to get the feeders i need i'd like to get back into them. I will take trades starting now for just about anything i've got leo wize..
